CONTESTWhat's up?Many may have noticed that I was very much not on here much the last few weeks. Well firstly I had exams... and the first few didn't go too well so I bunked down and studied... That meant I banned myself from the computer! I also realized that that drastic measure was not good for my immediate state of mind... I went through withdrawal and well now I know that internet is a drug to which I'm rather addicted...
But what's up with my disappearance after the exams? Well a few of you know from talking to me, but for the others, the title gives it away. BWAHAHA. Yes I was on holiday and though I would love to go through everything I did in the most minute detail I decided to ummmmm type it up and post it later along with the pictures I took so look in the artist comment or whatever for that

For what I don't have accompanying photos well I'll just blurb in the journal when I feel like blurbing (yes to blurb is a verb in my dictionary)
Now I'm back and sadly back to school and back to my ummm usual life though I'm hoping not quite so busy as the last term... (though I'm constantly being proved wrong... sigh... and the start did not look promising with quizzes, tests and assignments right off the bat... despite having fewer classes...) But I'm hoping that I'll be on more nevertheless

Hope all of you had an enjoyable winter / holiday season/ whatever. Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
~Kat

Recent Gifts:I was going to update this long ago but I hadn't gotten around to it but I finally can and with gems to show to you all!
The first one I want to share with you all is art of my dear Nekora ( the heroine of my comic Written in the Stars), I got this as part of an art trade and have felt super lucky that

accepted to do one with me! She did such a lovely job and tackled my little ball of curls~ I simply adore her style as it is and the way she drew Nekora simply perfect capturing her youthful and innocent appearance. And I don't think I've said enough praise yet! Just look at the drawing yourselves! :
[link]When comming back from my trip and not really in a good mood because I knew my holidays were over and that it would be back to school with things to do waiting for me I first checked and saw a note! And a good thing I did see it before all the chores started because that note made me happy! what was in that note? well it was a link to this drawing of... Mikao!
[link] It was a secret santa gift from

a very generous person and one who is also extremely talented! Even without colours remaining in Greyscale she portrayed Mikao to admiration. A very good drawing of him when he's thinking and in calm reflection. I could almost see this as a more realistic portrayal of a scene in the comic itself! (see the first page of the "first" Chapter, not the prologue) anyways, it's simply gorgeous with such a feeling of depth and it still captivates me! the style used is simply gorgeous and I can go on and on!
( I put all the fanarts up here, if you are curious to see the past fanarts:

Rambles:*This is the section to skip because I just have fun rambling about the stupidest things

*
Do people have to grow up? Can we grow down?
So a few years pass, I grow older, time never quite stops and instead moves on faster. But in this world where one is pushed to becoming the mature, aware, responsible adult, this reluctant kitty stuggles (perhaps in vain) to stay in the comfort of innocent ignorance.
Yep I don't really want to grow up... I've had a taste of what the "mature professional" is suppose to "act like" and well needless to say this this wax doesn't want to fit the mold... liking it free and well unconstrained form.
Wow that sounded grown up what with fancy metaphors and such... and really that's about as much as I can do... a momentary lapse and that's it. Because I feel more and more like going back to childhood and as it is I'm prone to lapses in childishness what with poke wars, watching cartoons (yep I aint giving that up yet!), doodling graves with "RIP Kat" on it when times get boring, being facinated by the most ridiculously simple piece of elastic spinning around on those rolling desk chairs until I'm dizzy,... and rediscovering the joys and love of the kid's shoe section.
I had made my transition from girly barbie shoes to the more sober adult shoes. getting exstatically happy and obsessed with the few more frilly and princesslike shoes that will only on rare occasions make it's way on the adult shelf. But only recently was I reminded that my miniscule footsies fitsies in the wee shoesies. Though I should have known this (seeing as I still wear some of my ummm Middle school shoes) but I had forgotten.
I had gone boot shopping with friends (I had avoided boot shopping for 5 years because I'm a klutz and there are very few boots that have good treads and a cute look). And thank goodness they had come because they were the ones who reminded me of the tinyness of my feet! and into the kidsection we went (and now I'm set to forever look at kids section first for shoes because it's great fun looking at them shoes!) I had found good boots and I confess they weren't even in the biggest Kid size available... well it was the biggest available for that shoe at that time but usually there are bigger sizes for kids... what went through my mind upon that discovery? "Yay room to grow"
what was more fun about the kids section was trying on the different adorable footwear options like princess shoes mary Janes and the likes... I also amused myself to see what was the smallest pair of shoes I could shove my foot into (albeit uncomfortably). conclusion of that episode was "Man my feet are tiny"
And with the happy event of actually buying the kid boots and snacking on gummi bears, I'm now looking forward to visiting that kid section again for some more cute shoes and fun times. (too bad I'm really too big for the clothes...)
That's all I'm going to share for now... at first I was thinking up some kind of ramble about how some Japanese toilets are so technologically advanced. it wouldn't surprise me that they could wage war and Oh my Gosh that would be such a great "technology takes over the human war" "bow to the oh mighty toilet leader!" Ok I'll quit with the potty talk...
They have buttons on this keyboard-like "shelf" projecting from the wall. Buttons for bum washing of various kinds, temperature control, water pressure, flushing noise (I was puzzled at first by this but apparently it's to ummm mask other noises that one would not wish to have heard... seriously they should invest on making it a more ummm harmonious thing rather than flushing "music") and so many more buttons! for the longest time I couldn't figure out what it meant... and needless to say in my attempt to actually flush the thing I was attacked by bum washing sprays... no worries there were no casualties. I was out of it's range and I have to say it's aim was not very good... but I beat the toilet upun discovery of the good old-fashioned toilet flushing handle and well flushed it the good old tech style! Beat that oh toilet overlord!
That done I was reassured that the toilet shan't prevail in it's world dominating schemes and we are safe... for now.... mwahaha
So I ended up rambling as I had innitially planned about toilets... toilets being a fascinating topic for some reason... (maturity level = 0 ) well I kept the best for last I suppose though I likely bored you all before then BWAHAHA that was my dastardly evilly-evil plan!
